About Baroque Rocks

Established in 2017, by Emma de Sybel, Baroque Rocks is a London based jewellery company specialising in unique vintage pieces. All are hand-picked with a discerning eye for arresting singularity.

Baroque Rocks curates fine modern vintage jewels from the 1960s to the early 2000s for the individual who marches to the current beat. Emma hunts for treasure all around the UK and then has each piece professionally polished and, if needed, restored by some of the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter’s finest craftsmen; ensuring that the pieces are as good as new but maintaining their history and heritage.

All the jewellery is also sound cleansed, which staves off any naysayers who perhaps otherwise would never consider buying pre-loved jewels. The collectibles, rather like her, are thoroughly bonkers with an eye purely for the offbeat aesthetic.

The mantra of the company is to provide “affordable and sustainable jewels that don’t cost the earth.”

Building a firm following, Emma has gone on to create a unique brand offering beautiful vintage craftsmanship at a competitive price without damaging the environment.

The Team

Emma de Sybel

Emma quit a job in the City in favour of hunting for gold vintage jewels originating from the 1960s to early 2000s. She has a penchant for bold and beautiful vintage gold jewellery and spends her days hunting out these overlooked treasures, and then giving the pre-loved jewels a new lease of life. It really is upcycling at its best.

With a background in Business Development, Maxine worked in the City for a private venture capitalist before escaping to become a mermaid (scuba diving instructor and research diver). Having returned to the UK her passion for preserving the environment married with her love of jewellery fits in with the Baroque Rocks sustainability ethos.

Robin has a strong work history in shows and events where he has been involved with prestigious events including the Queen’s Jubilee and the London Olympics. His flair and charm can be witnessed at the Baroque Rock shows, where Emma and Robin make a wonderful team.
