The Spring Awakenings:
|
Darling All
With the vernal verve in full flourish and optimism percolating, there is a giddy sense of celebration in the air! Jubilee preparations are in full swing and do we have a medley of monarchical marvels for you magpies! But before we have you all champing at the proverbial bit for our coruscating cache, we thought we’d do our own State Opening: Collections now abound instore for Jigsaw Kings Road, Westbourne Grove and Guildford as well as online with Paul Smith. Choose to peruse, be it instore or online, the ‘vote-th’ is yours! But now back to our “humble address” on Spring sparklers!!!

We thought we’d start off discussing White’s, not however the exclusive establishment chock full of carousing cavaliers where her majesty, Queen Elizabeth II is the only feted female patron, but as in Diamonds and White Gold. The trending trope for pure white in the form of sharp suits sashaying down catwalks Beckham style speaks for itself and what better way to team it with than with White Gold and lashings of Diamonds? Think total white out, rather like this ginormous glacier of a Diamond cocktail ring……..beautifully cut bobby dazzlers forming close to a whopping ice white three point three carats!
|
If minimalism is more your thing you can still be in clover!!! Layer up Lady luck in the form of dashingly dazzling Diamonds forming not one but two lucky clovers!!! Very van leafy!!

Be the Pearly Queen with a touch of Pistolian anarchy and Chanel elegance with this Camellia White Gold ring adorned in chic Black Rod-esque enamel, a Pearl of pure indulgent purity and six sparkling sensational Diamonds!
Perhaps pairing them with what is literally the jewel in the crown, a mightily fabulously faceted heart of Amethyst!!! Powerful purple perfection exuding healing properties and protection!! So, keep up the Royal Standards by throwing on a crown and a gem set one at that and reminding them just who they are dealing with!
|
And to add to the grandeur redux, do fly the flag, a Diamond effort of course for Queen and Country! One really shall be most “happy and glorious!” Think Gloriana with a dash of jangling jingoism!!
|
As we are basking in May’s pageantry it would be remiss of us to not remind one and all that the birthstone is Emerald!!! So, by Royal Appointment Mother “Nature’s first green is gold, her hardest hue to hold”!! But hold it she does Robert Frost! Behold boombox brights in the form of Emeralds in bold gold hoops!
|
Colour blocking green sure does excite the eye and so to rev up digit decadence sport this bijoux bouquet: a 1970s barked flower Emerald Ring that melds with modernist rigour!

If you want more exuberance, more colour, more mayhem go for modernist maximalism in a 1974 ring which has been rewilded literally. It started off life with a central Opal surrounded by a slew of Sapphires, then chameleon like the Opal opted out for a marvellous Morganite!! The final stage of metamorphosis saw the cocktail change up its Corundums for extravagant Emeralds!!! A bounty of botanical Beryls!! Talk about an alliteration in pink and green!

Finally in our regal styling, freshen up your look with floral fantasia! Another cocktail that literally underwent a radical renaissance swapping Smoky Quartz for an eleven carat Sky Blue Topaz! Nothing like a bit of 1975 “fleurotica” to enhance outfits and moods alike!

As the Jubilee draws closer, we thank Her Majesty, the Queen, who has steadfastly served this nation with diamond grit and true aplomb for seventy years. The longest reigning monarch who puts the Great into Britain and is undoubtedly our national treasure, the true Crown Jewels! And, Baroque Rocks is safe in the knowledge that one has indeed made it “reign” with jewels for this edit. Diamonds are still the height of modern opulence and to be lavished and lauded and really we do decree that one’s subjects should be bedecked in all manner of baubles!!! So do your duty, fling on your festival finery for Queen and Country!! God Save the Queen! And Stay Sparkling!
